Giethoorn Day Trip
At the arranged time the tour leaves the centre
of Amsterdam, travelling northwards for an hour and a half across Holland.
There we arrive at the picturesque town of Giethoorn: a municipality which
finds on its border the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, one of Holland's
most beautiful natural spaces.
Having arrived at the outskirts of the
town, the tour leaves the bus to enjoy a trip by boat through
the canals of Giethoorn. This means of transport is the only way to access
the centre of the town, and during the crossing you will have the opportunity
to contemplate typical Dutch houses and the wooden bridges which
allow you to cross from one canal bank to the other.
The tour will also teach you about the history
of Giethoorn, where the absence of motor vehicles is what gives this beautiful
town its nickname: "The Dutch Venice." Having concluded the boat
trip, you will have time to have lunch in the town, a perfect opportunity to
discover the gastronomy of the Netherlands.
Having eaten, the tour returns to the bus to
return to Amsterdam.
Important Information
·
Adverse weather conditions may mean the boat
trip is affected.
