Rhine Valley
Cruise
We'll meet up near Frankfurt's central station and hop on a
bus to the romantic Rhine Valley, a stretch of the famous 65-kilometre-long
river that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002.
When we arrive we'll board a boat that will sail us along the
waters of this beautiful area of Germany, surrounded by endless vineyards and
magnificent medieval castles that look like something out of a fairytale. As we
cruise we'll also marvel at the beautiful villages built on the hills.
Our first stop will be at the Niederwald Monument, where
we'll take a ride in the cable car (closed in winter) for spectacular views of
the Rhine Valley. Did you know that this monument was erected to commemorate
the re-establishment of the German Empire in 1871?
We'll then take you to a beautiful restaurant on the banks of
the river to eat and recharge your batteries. Afterwards, we'll return to the
boat and head to Sankt Goarshausen, where we'll be able to admire Katz Castle
the Lorelei rock.
The last stop will be in Rüdesheim, where we'll enjoy some
wine tasting in a small tavern and, at the end, we'll have free time to stroll
through its streets and do some shopping.
At the end of the trip,
we'll head back to the starting point in Frankfurt.
