ITINERARY
Day 1: Athens
Arrival at Athens International Airport,
assistance and transfer to the Hotel.
Night stay in Athens
Day 2: (Daily) Athens City Tour
with New Museum
The Athens half-day tour, depart for a photo
stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896.
It is the only stadium built out of white marble. Proceed, passing by Zappeion
and Temple of Olympian Zeus. You will then pass the Athens Trilogy which
includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National
Library. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s
Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic
Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square ,Russian
Orthodox Church, and finally ACROPOLIS (visit Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike,
Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens). Continue with a pleasant
short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the
ACROPOLIS museum. Main attractions such as votives, artifacts of every day
life, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall
with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.

Day 3: (Daily) Full day Tour to
Delphi
Drive through the fertile plain of Beotia,
crossing the towns of Thebes connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus -
Levadia and Arachova (short stop on the way back). Arrive at Delphi, the center
of Ancient World - the “Omphalos” (Navel of Earth) - whose prestige extended
far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic World. On the slopes of Mount
Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of
the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the
Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek
sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Lunch in the
modern village of Delphi, return to Athens by the same route at about 19.00 and
drop off at your Hotel.
Night stay in Athens
Day 4: Athens Free Day
Discover this magical city and all it has to
offer by walking along the narrow streets of Plaka or visiting the Promontory
on top Mount Lycabettus for spectacular views on Athen’s highest hill. If you
feel like going further afield why not take a Day Tour to Argolis, or if the
weather is good why not take a 1 day cruise.

Day 5: Athens
Breakfast and transfer to Athens International Airport at arranged
time.
