Your day trip to the Cameron
Highlands will begin following your pick up from your Kuala Lumpur hotel first
thing in the morning. Why so early? One of the most beautiful sights in the
Highlands is watching the sun rise over the mountains. An unmissable scene!
The first stop on your
guided tour of Malaysia's biggest hill-station will be the tea plantation
fields. You'll get to know the production process of tea, one of the typical
plants grown in this luscious green valley, located in the north of the Asian
country. To reach the hilltop Boh Tea plantation, one of the most famous in the
region, you'll head out on a short hiking route. The trek is well worth the
effort for the incomparable views of the stunning natural landscapes awaiting
you at the end.
Discover the Rose Garden,
home to a wide number of different species of these beautiful flowers. You'll
also stop at a pick-your-own strawberry farm, where you can sample the
delicious fruits that grow here thanks to the cooler Highland temperatures. Try
more of the tasty fruits and vegetables produced in this region during your
stop at a local market.
During your full-day tour of
the Cameron Highlands, you'll also have the opportunity to visit the Butterfly
Park, where many different insect species live, as well as making a stop to
admire and take memorable photos of the Lata Iskandar waterfalls.
To learn more about the
people who live in these beautiful natural landscapes and the culture that has
developed here, you'll be welcomed into an indigenous village. Meet some of the
villagers and enjoy a demonstration of their handmade blow pipes.
One of the main attractions
of this area of Malaysia are the honey farms. You'll visit one of these, where
you'll see the beehives and watch as the hardworking insects create their
honey, which will be used in a variety of different products.
Following a full day discovering the incredible flora and fauna of the
beautiful Cameron Highlands, you'll return to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
